Which cookies sheenkit.com uses, what each one is for, who sets it, and how to switch them off. Short, because we use very few.

What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. It lets a site remember something between page loads or between visits — a preference you set, or the fact that you arrived from a particular source. Similar technologies such as pixels and local storage work in comparable ways, and this policy covers those too.
Cookies set by sheenkit.com are first-party. Cookies set by services we use, such as analytics and retailer affiliate programs, are third-party and are controlled by those companies under their own policies.

We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies, we do not run a display ad network, and we do not build behavioural profiles for marketing. We also have no newsletter, so nothing here tracks email signups.
Third-party cookies in more detail
Analytics. Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish visitors and sessions and to report aggregate traffic. We use it to understand which guides are read and which are abandoned. We do not use it to identify individuals.
Affiliate attribution. When you click an outbound product link, the destination retailer may set a cookie recording that you arrived from Sheen Kit. If you buy within that retailer’s attribution window, a commission is credited to us. We receive commission reports only, never your order details. This is explained in full in our Affiliate Disclosure.
These third parties control their own cookies and their own retention. Blocking them will not prevent you from reading anything on this site.
Managing and refusing cookies
You are in control. Every major browser lets you view stored cookies, delete them, block third-party cookies, or block all cookies for a specific site. The controls sit under Settings, in the Privacy or Privacy and Security section, on Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, Brave and Opera. Browsing in a private or incognito window clears cookies when you close it.
- Blocking analytics cookies costs you nothing. The site works identically; we simply see less about which pages are useful.
- Blocking affiliate cookies also costs you nothing, and the price you pay is unchanged. It means a purchase you make will not be credited to us.
- Blocking all cookies, including essential ones, may affect security features and stop the site remembering preferences or your cookie choices.
Where a consent banner is shown in your region, you may withdraw or change your choice at any time by clearing this site’s cookies in your browser and reloading the page.
Do Not Track
There is still no agreed industry standard for responding to browser Do Not Track signals, so this site does not currently respond to them. We will revisit that if a common standard is settled. Global Privacy Control signals are honoured where applicable law requires it.
